Miller-Stephenson offers this extremely distinctive, acid-primer free (Non-Cr(VI)) fluoropolymer coating for temperature sensitive substrates like Nitinol, Copper, Nickel-Titanium Alloys, Polyamide and PEEK polymers. This advanced fluoropolymer coating is aqueous-based, extremely durable and offers the user a one coat system, providing the same robust and durable fluoropolymer coating in a high cure temperature system. Achieving the same outstanding performance standards as our 850G-9004, 850G-10XX was superiorly designed to evenly coat and protect hyper critical devices and equipment that utilize low-temperature alloys and/or high-temperature plastics designed for the medical industry.

Coating Equipment & Application Recommendations

All of our PTFE coatings can be applied via spray, dip or spool-to-spool methods. Proper pre-coating wire cleaning treatment and post-application curing equipment is critical to guarantee performance and durability. Acceptable curing equipment includes high-temperature ovens which can safely maintain temperatures of 246 °C  (475 °F) or utilize IR ovens. This will ensure proper sintering of the coatings onto the wire and promote the best surface characteristics that can be achieved.
